Fusion Core

For my "Avanced Interaction" module in 3rd Year Computer Arts, I've designed and produced a game prototype built with Maya and Microsoft XNA (game engine) as this was the first time that I've learned on how to use XNA and how to import my 3D models into the game engine. There was no actual interactions for the vehicle model in the environment as my tutor could not find the codes for the interaction controls for moving the model in the environment. However, I did managed to import all my models (vehicle and environments) into XNA and previewed the final piece by running the codes that I've updated from the default versions (given by my tutor for coursework) as this was the main task in this module and also got a passing grade for this project.

The Story
The game is set 200 years in the future where all of the Earth’s resources had completely ran out and the Earth then becomes unstable world that could no longer support all life with the super storms and the extreme floods towards all nations. Scientists then created a new source of unlimited energy as they called it a fusion core, and they also guarantee that this new energy could save and restore the planet’s condition from the extreme natural disasters. However, when a hover transport carrying the payload of fusion cores to each power station in different locations, a super storm hits the transport hard and causes it to crash somewhere in the desert and all the fusion cores were scattered in the area. As this disaster happens, the world government then calls in the FBTs (Fusion Bee Transport) to recover all the cores and deliver each one to each power station in the sector, and the FBTs are also the only vehicles that could handle the unstable fusion cores for a limited of time (carrying them for too long could cause the core to explode along with the vehicle). So Humanity and also the Earth’s only hop to restore the energy crises is someone to take control of the FBT and gather all the fusion cores to the power stations before time runs out.

Game's Goals
The objective of this game is for the user is to pilot the FBT vehicle and gather the fusion cores (by directing the vehicle right over it) to the power station in different levels of the desert environment. Each level will also have a more challenging difficulty to find and bring back the fusion core and also beat the clock because if the timer runs out, the core and the FBT would then explode and the user would have to restart the level. The user also has 3 chances of completing each level otherwise the game would be over and the user would then have to restart the game from the very beginning.

Rewards
For each level completed, the user would the receive upgrades for the FBT vehicle to help handle the harder levels in the game such as stronger cooling shields for extra timing to handle the fusion core, new engines for better speed, and even new paint features for the user to customize the FBT vehicle.
